The PS1 Science Consortium funds the operation of the Pan-STARRS1 telescope on Mount Haleakala in Hawaii for the purposes of astronomical research. The consortium is made up of astronomers from 10 institutions from four countries. The Pan-STARRS 1 telescope is the first of the 4 telescope Pan-STARRS project under development by the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Hawaii.

The PS1SC is looking for astronomical teams, research groups, or institutions to join the Science Consortium .
