The PS1 Science Consortium operates the Pan-STARRS1 telescope on Mount Haleakala in Hawaii, and is responsible for the scientific analysys of the data it produces.

 

The consortium is made up of astronomers from 10 institutions from four countries.

 

The Pan-STARRS 1 telescope is the single mirror prototype of the 4-mirror Pan-STARRS project under development by the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Hawaii
